julius Caesar's death
Just yesterday (March 15 at 4 P.M.), Julius Caesar was assassinated. Here is what witnesses have told us about the assassination. Julius’ wife, Calpurnia, told Julius not to go the Ides of March, as well as a couple of friends and his doctors (Julius was suffering from an occasional dizzy spell). But one of his killers, which he thought as a firm friend named Brutus, convinced him to come to the Ides of March. The Senate rose as they saw Julius enter the room. A man named Tillius Cimber was standing next to Caesar as he grabbed him by the arms and held on to Julius tight. As he did, members from the senate unsheathed their blades and started to stab and kill Julius on the spot. Julius was left dead on the floor for a few hours before a couple of slaves carried him away. The citizens are now furious at what the Senate has done. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Julius_Caesar http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/caesar2.htm
